How it works
Sign yourself up for NZ Music T-Shirt Day here. Once you’re signed up you can join or create a team.
Invite your friends, whānau, work colleagues and social networks to make a donation to you and wear the favourite music T-shirt on Friday 28 May. Everything you raise will also count towards your team’s total.
Post a photo of you in your music T-shirt to your socials using the hashtag #nzmusictshirtday and tag @musichelpsnz
If you can’t take part, you can still support the cause! Make a donation at the donate link above or text “MUSIC” to 2448 to donate $3. Represent your favourite band on the day by wearing and posting about your music T-shirt anyway!
NZ Music T-Shirt Day
Friday 28 May 2021
Do you love Kiwi music? Do you care about the people who make it and the at-risk and vulnerable in our communities? Then be a part of #NZMusicTShirtDay!
NZ Music T-Shirt Day takes place on Friday 28 May 2021 as part of NZ Music Month. It's about celebrating great kiwi music and showing your support by sporting your favourite band tee. It's all about fun, but many people are doing it tough, so please join MusicHelps to raise funds for kiwi music workers whose livelihoods have been shattered by the effects of Covid-19, and also to help the most vulnerable in our communities through projects that use the power of music to help and heal.
Whether you're an artist, music worker or music lover, get involved, make a donation, then post and share your best band t-shirt pics using the hashtags #NZMusicTShirtDay and @musichelpsnz. Create a Team and get your workplace, school and friends involved! Share the love on your social networks and your followers will be able to donate to your team and earn you a place on the Honour Roll!
Don’t have a t-shirt? Now is the perfect time to add to your wardrobe. Take a look at this list of places where you can find fantastic threads and merch from your favourite kiwi artists. Better yet, hit up the merch stand at the next gig you attend and get yourself kitted out - it's another great way to help support your favourite local acts!
